First and foremost, we offer our members an opportunity to meet other members of the bar and members of the judiciary in a variety of informal settings. These settings include our monthly luncheon meetings at the Coral Gables Country Club, the annual Judicial Reception, the annual cruise, and the annual President's Ball. We believe these opportunities to meet and speak casually result in better rapport in client presentations.
Second, we offer our members and other members of the Florida Bar an opportunity to meet their continuing legal education requirement by attending high quality, low cost lectures on a great variety of subjects given by prestigious legal experts.
Third, we offer our members an opportunity to "give back" to the community through various avenues of community service. Each year we sponsor a Law Day speech contest in public middle schools and a high school located in Coral Gables. This year we also partnered with G.A.P ("Girls Advocacy Project"); Project Cradle, which serves the Department of Pediatric AIDS at the University of Miami; and CHARLEE to provide toys, books and money to needy children at Christmas time.
We strongly urge you to join with our officers and directors
to become an integral part of the Association's effort to serve its members,
the legal community and the broader community in which we live.
